I am planning to create a levitation photo where the model is being held up by something. I want the setting to be outside, as if she is falling from the roof. She will be very near to the ground and looking frightened. I want her to be wearing something very flowy and as if she just woke up and decided to jump. It will be a dark scene to be like night. I will need a camera, model, and props for the photo.

I liked this self portrait because I think it has a deep meaning behind it. It shows two sides of a person: made-up or "dolled up" and the more natural side. it shows that both are beautiful and that- in my opinion- neither is right or wrong. It shows that you don't have to wear makeup to be beautiful, just like you don't have to be natural to be beautiful. Everyone is beautiful no matter what.

Portraits Post

I learned many things through my research on portraits. The most important three things I learned were:

  • Lighting is very important when taking portraits.
  • There are different lighting techniques to help construct the image you wish to achieve.
  • Posing is very important for portrait photography.

Panning

I am planning many shots for this portfolio. The one I am most excited for, however, is a falling shot. I am planning to have my sister as the model, and her falling off of a box with a matress underneath her. It will look like she is falling backwards. it will be in the middle of a field, and the background will be blurry.
